RUNBRITAIN LAUNCHES REVOLUTIONARY
ONLINE SCORING FOR ROAD RUNNERS
runbritain has announced the launch of its revolutionary new handicap scoring system designed to give road runners of all abilities the ability to benchmark their progress and compare their results across a range of distances and terrains.

The scoring system, which has been developed in conjunction with the team behind the McCain Power of 10 website, enables runners to claim a ranking score based on any single performance at 5,000, 10,000, half marathon and marathon distances, and allow them to make comparisons against fellow runners of varying degrees of ability. It also offers guidance and support on future racing selections and opportunities to improve to the next level.

Visit the runbritain website at www.runbritain.com to claim your handicap ranking and you will be provided with a bespoke personal running biography page featuring:

The scoring system, which has been developed in conjunction with the team behind the McCain Power of 10 website, rewards regular racing and factors in a degree of difficulty for slower courses. The score is derived from your results at 5K, 10K, Half Marathon & Marathon during 2010 and thereafter on a rolling 12 month basis although you only need to have done one race in 2010 to claim a handicap.

Once registered, you just need to log in to be taken to your bespoke personal running biog profile page featuring:
* current rankings at each distance
* personal progress graph
* direct comparisons with other runners with a ‘head-to-head’ function
* handicap score updated automatically after each run
* target times to bring score down to the next level
* training schedules to help you achieve your targets.
