Introductory Sessions for new Athletes

Lothian Running Club occasionally holds introductory sessions over the course of the year. The sessions are a friendly introduction to athletics and the ethos of the club, giving an insight into the various activities, options and opportunities LRC offers.

Held at the Craigswood Sport Centre track on selected Fridays, the introductory sessions are run during our normal Friday night training night, where we have a variety of sessions on offer including: adult running; sprints; and children’s multi-event development covering run, jump and throw disciplines.  Please check the Training Calendar for the next Introductory Session.

If you are unable to make one of the introductory sessions, or there are none scheduled please feel free to drop in at any of our regular training nights. In either case, it best if you can contact us on, or use the Contact Form, and let us know. We’ll let the coach covering the session know you are coming.
