Lothian Running Club’s Owen Williams produced one of his best ever runs to claim a bronze medal in the Run the Blades 50k Ultra race at Whitelee Windfarm at Eaglesham.
The race route is located exclusively within Whitelee Windfarm, the UK’s largest offshore windfarm.
The picturesque landscape boasts mixed mooland and trees, intertwined with wind turbines that tower above the trail.
Owen completed the course in 3 hours 57 minutes 02 seconds to take the bronze medal behind winner Nikki Johnstone, LAZ Puma Rhein Sieg who finished in a remarkable 3:13.52.
LRC’s Stephen Todd also ran the race coming home 43rd of the 179 finishers in 5h 06m 15s.
In the associated 10k race Stephanie Amies finished in 1h 18m 12s.
