1 – 2 – 3 FOR CLUB GIRLS AT PARKRUN

Lothian Running Club Under-20 athletes filled the first three places in the female race at Saturday’s [May 1st] Edinburgh Parkrun.

Sarah Inglis made it two wins out of two at the event covering the 5k course in cold raw conditions along the Cramond/Silverknowes waterfront in 17 minutes 04 seconds, this placed her 3rd overall and first female.

Sarah was followed home by her sister Mhairi who was making her parkrun debut.
Mhairi finished 17th overall and second female crossing the finish line in 19:36 to go straight into the sub-20 club.

Making it a clean sweep of the top three placings was race regular Lana Turnbull, Lana who was taking part in her 14th parkrun came home in 28th and 3rd female in 20:55.

Making up the club representation was Mike Turnbull who completed the course in 33:17 for 126th place. A total of 29 club athletes have now contested the parkrun.
