CLUB LADIES 7TH AT ROAD RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

Lothian Running Club fielded four full teams and one incomplete team at the annual Scottish Athletics Road Relay Championships at Livingston on Saturday 3rd April.

The ladies[B]team were the highest placed finishers, Chloe Cox ran the opening leg in which she finished in 10th place, she handed over to Jocelyn Moar who maintained a similar position before passing on to Louise Crilley to run leg three, she improved a place to 9th, the final leg was run by Edel Mooney – the only survivor of the quartet who took silver medals 12 months – and she produced a good run to haul the team up to a creditable finishing position of 7th.

Six places further back in 13th were the [A] team of Yvonne Crilley, Jill Horsburgh, Christine Milne and Lynne Murray.

The mens [A] squad of Robert Inglis, Scott Nelson, Alistair Robertson, Darren Thomson, Joe Robertson and Alan McIntosh finished in 27th spot with the [B] sextet of Peter West ,Harry Mulholland ,Steve Dempsey, John Malcolm, Steve Lawrie and Robin Morris coming home in 43rd.

The trio of Ted Finch, Ian Leggett and Ian Hall ran as an incomplete team.

A trio of club runners contested the Bellhaven Best Dunbar 10k Race on Saturday 3rd April.
Brian Reid 43 minutes 48 seconds placed 72nd, Marie Storrie [45:49] was 102nd overall and 13th female with Colin Banham [51:34] 163rd.
