DEVILS BURDEN RELAYS
Devil’s Burdens Latest News from race organiser Frank McLaren.
“Just to reiterate (for the absence of doubt) that the Relay will definately go ahead in some form although it may well be on a ‘bad weather’ option if conditions don’t improve on the higher levels of the course”. If the deep snow persists, we will probably have to use routes which start and finish in the Falkland Estate, using East Lomond for two hill legs run in pairs and forest runs for the solo legs. Further Update F rom the Fife Council’s Countryside Ranger Service warning of the potential danger from avalanches especially on the north -west face of West Lomond on the slopes down towards the Bunnet Stane. Anyone thinking of a recce of the third leg this weekend should do so with care.
