GREAT DAY FOR CLUB AT PARKRUN

Lothian Running Club had a marvellous day at the 20th Edinburgh Parkrun. A record club number of 9 athletes took part. Conditions along the Edinburgh waterfront were very much spring like and ideal for running.

Brother and sister Robert and Sarah Inglis finished 1st and 2nd to claim the overall male and female top prizes.

Robert completed the 5k course in 16 minutes 11 seconds just short of his PB, he was followed over the line by his sister Sarah who was making her parkrun debut.

Sarah set a new course record for a female athlete with a time of 16 minutes 37 seconds.
Another race first timer Alistair Robertson finished in 5th place in [16:54].
Further race debutants Max McNeil[17.22] and Scott Nelson[17.41] came next in excellent 9th and 13th places.

John Malcolm crossed the finish line in 19.08 for 26th place. Lana Turnbull the clubs most regular participant at parkruns entered the 10 Club and recorded yet another PB[19.45] in finishinfg 44th overall and 3rd female.

Chris Rumbles got round in 20.41 for 59th place.
Race debutant Bethany Nelson was an excellent 90th out of the 205 finishers, this placed her 8th female overall and 1st in her [F14] age group category.

22 runners from Lothian Running Club have now participated in the Edinburgh Parkrun for 72 runs.
