IN THE PRIZES AT MARKINCH GAMES

Once again the club were well represented at the Markinch Highland Games which was good to see as these are my home Games.

For the second year in succession Darren Thomson was just pipped in the 90 metres Handicap on this occasion being just touched off by Martin Paterson Central AC.

Darren was also runner up in the 400 metres Handicap which was also won by Paterson.

Mhairi Inglis ran a good race in the Open 1600 metres and was just run down in the home straight but still sneaked into the prizes in 6th place. Robert Inglis also ran but was outside the places.

In the 1600 Metres Handicap Robert and Sarah finished in 4th and 5th places repectively with Mhairi just out the prizes,

In the 3200 metres Sarah and Robert were again placed with Sarah who was only caught on the last lap 3rd and Robert 6th.

In the Youth races Lauren Arbuckle, Bethany Nelson and Hannah Stewart were all in action with Lauren managing a third place in the 1600 metres with Hannah fourth.

John McStewart, Alan Stewart and twins Ashley and Sarah Stewart all contested the Open 90 metres and 200 metres handicaps.
