GARTMORN ’6′

GOOD DAY AT GARTMORN
Lothian Running Club enjoyed a successful day at Sunday’s Gartmorn ‘6’ [mile] race and Junior 2.8 mile.
There was an excellent club turn out of 11 in the senior race and two in the junior event.

The race from Carsebridge in Sauchie takes in a scenic route which winds it’s way around the Gartmorn Dam before finishing back in the town.
And it saw a club 1-2 in the Women’s Race with Edel Mooney finishing an excellent 14th overall and 1st female in a  time of [38.01], following not far behind was Chloe Cox who crossed the finish line in 24th overall and 2nd female in [39.29].
And with Jocelyn Moar in 39th overall and 6th female [41.09] the club also claimed the Ladies team prize.
It was a good day for the ladies with Jill Horsburgh finishing 2nd  MV50 in [47.54].
In the Men’s event a fine run from Brian Turner saw him come home in 6th spot and first male club finisher in [34.40].
Sibling’s Alice and Iain Horsburgh were among the prizes in the Junior 2.8 mile race.
Ian finished 3rd overall in [14.35] and runner-up in the Boys Under-13 category with Alice 13th[17.31] and runner-up in the Girls Under-18 section.
