YOUNGSTERS IN THE MEDALS AT PRESIDENTS SELECT

Five of the clubs junior members were selected to compete at Saturday’s JSB Forth Valley League Presidents Select meeting at Grangemouth.
All acquitted themselves well and did the club proud  returning  home with a total of seven medals.
A number of PB’s were also recorded.
There were golds for both Grant Kirkwood and Christopher Fletcher in the Boys U-15 HighJump and Boys U-13 4 x 100 metres relay respectively. Grant also picked up a silver in the Boys U-15 Shot Putt as well as a bronze in the Boys U-15 Javelin.
All of Grant’s medals were won with PB’s.
There were further bronze medals for both Christopher Fletcher and Amy McCulloch, the latter’s came in the Girls U-15 800 metres where Amy recorded a new PB in finishing in 3rd place.
Christopher took third place in both the Boys U-13 Long Jump and Javelin.
In the Girls U-13 800 metres Tara Walsh missed out on a medal but managed to record a new PB. The clubs youngest competitor on the day was Robbie Fleming who finished in 6th place in the Boys U-11 100 metres.
