MORE PARKRUN SUCCESS

Lothian Running Club athletes enjoyed another winning weekend at both the Falkirk and Edinburgh Parkruns.
At Falkirk, both Brian Turner and Lana Turnbull followed up their respective wins in the male and female races from the week before.
Brian covered the 5k course in [17.50] while Lana who also finished 9th overall came home in [23.23].
The clubs two other representatives in the race were female vets Mags Turnbull and Val Finch and both set new PB’s, for Mags who stopped the clock at [26.09] it was her third PB in as many weeks. Val running the event for only the second time improved her time from seven days prior by a massive 86 seconds in finishing in [36.41]. Overall Mags was 50th and 9th female with Val 89th and 36th female. 95 ran.

In the Edinburgh race Chloe Cox who finished runner-up to her clubmate Edel Mooney the week before went one better on this ocassion to take the womens title, and in doing so recorded a new PB of [17.56], Chloe also finished 4th overall.
Leanne Webster was the only other runner in the race and she finished 44th overall and 8th in the female category in a time of [21.32] . 174 ran.

There was further success down south where club veteran Ian Leggett contested the Milton Keynes Parkrun and won the MV70 category, finishing in a time of [22.38] Ian also finished 31st overall.
