Bring on Broxburn XC

It was great to see so many club members racing at Livingston on Nov 20th; we had a huge turn out, one of the largest supported events for a while. We thought it would be a really good idea for the club to target the next race in the East District Cross Country calendar.

Therefore we are going to target leg three at Broxburn on the 14th of January. The training sessions we put on over the next six weeks will have an emphasis towards this race. Cross country is a great event as it offers endurance and strength training for those focusing on the track; strength and speed work for athletes targeting longer races, half marathon’s to ultras. Plus it’s also good speed work for the hill runners, something for everyone.

Our weekly interval sessions will build toward this race, we will also recce the Broxburn course on a weekend prior to the event.

Look out for more updates on our training page where we will explain in more detail what we are going to be doing and how it can help you make a great start to your 2012 racing!
