London PBs for Owen, Christine & Shona

Lothian Running Club had seven runners among the masses in Sunday’s Virgin London Marathon.
The first club runner to finish was Colin Partridge who finished in 2 hours 47 minutes 27 seconds only 50 seconds outside the time he set 12 months ago over the same course.
Following Colin over the line and also setting a PB in his second marathon was Owen Williams[3h 10m 01s. Owen was followed by John Malcolm [3h14m24s], Gerry McCafferty [3h 34m 40s] and Neil Graham [3h 55m 51s].

The club’s two female representatives in the race also recorded PBs, Christine MacVarish crossed the finish line in 3 hours 21minutes 35 seconds which was over 2 minutes quicker than her previous best set in the Berlin Marathon last year. Also last year Shona Young ran the Loch Ness Marathon in 3h 33m 46s but was almost 4 minutes quicker in London on Sunday with a time of 3h 29m 49s.
