Club juniors achieve medals and PBs at Presidents Select Match

All six Lothian Running Club junior members who were selected to compete in Saturday’s Forth Valley League Presidents Select match at Meadowbank Stadium acquitted themselves well.

All six recorded PB‘s with three picking up medals.
Under-11
James McKee finished in 5th place in the 100 metres in 15.37 s, he then went on to claim bronze medals in both the the 200m and relay. His 200 m time was 31.61s. Both his 100m & 200m times were PB‘s.
Under-13
There was also 100m and 200m PB‘s for Nicole Furness. With an excellent time of 14.03s in the 100m Nicole raced to a silver medal. Later in the day she finished in 5th place in 200m in 29.09s.
Further silver medals followed for both Nicole and  Erin McComiskey who were part of the Division 3 quartet who finished in 2nd place in the relay.
Erin also contested the Shot Putt where she finished in 6th place.
There was a massive 6 second PB for Nicole Dredge in the 800 metres with her time of 2:39.21 placing her 5th.
In the 1500 metres, there was a 3 seconds PB for Hannah Steel who finished in 6th place in 5:38.51.
Under-15
Natalie Miller kept the run of PB‘s going in the under-15 1oom. Natalie finished in 7th place  in 14.69 before just missing out on a relay medal with her team finishing in 4th place.
