SARAH WINS SPARTANS FIRST EVER CIS XC CHAMPIONSHIP

GUELPH, Ontario – Trinity Western’s Sarah Inglis (Falkirk, Scotland) made Spartans history as she won the individual title at the CIS national championships Saturday.

On the final lap, Inglis pulled away from the lead pack and the final result was never in doubt as she finished the six kilometre race in 19:49.9 and nearly 20 seconds clear of second place.

After winning Canada West gold and finishing fifth overall at last year’s national championships, Inglis did herself one better by earning the double, winning both the conference and national titles.
