Top 10 finishes for club trio at Strathaven

The Lothian Running Club trio of Leanne Webster,Mhairi Inglis and Kathleen Dempsey all had top 10 finishes from a field of over 180 runners in the women’s category of Sunday’s Run with the Wind 10k at Stathaven.

The race which starts at Whitelee Wind Farm and finishes at Kirkland Park, Strathaven saw Mhairi Inglis finish in 4th place in a time of 40 minutes 23 seconds, Leanne Webster crossed the finish line in 8th place,and in doing so recorded a new personal best of 41m 52s, two places further back in 10th came Kathleen Dempsey in 42m 26s.

The Lothian ladies overall finishing positions were 49th,66th and 73rd respectively, with a total of 393 runners completing the course. Shaun Butler,Cambuslang Harriers was the overall race winner with Shona Doherty, Kelvin Runners first home in the women’s race.
