Edel retains title at Balfron

Lothian Running Club’s Edel Mooney retained the Women’s title in the Mulberry Bush Montesseri Balfron 10k race on Sunday. The Irish internationalist also finished in an excellent 14th position overall of the 570 finishers with her time of 37 minutes 38 seconds being 85 seconds quicker than her winning figures of 12 months prior. It was a good day for the Lothian ladies who had all four of their runners in the top 20 of the women’s category. Mel Zobel finished 8th in 42.43,Shona Young 12th in 44.22 with Linda Garratty 17th in 46.09.
