Highland Perthshire Half Mar/Full Mar.

L.R.C. members Christine Milne and Paul Young contested the Highland Perthshire Half Marathon and Marathon respectively at Aberfeldy on Saturday.

The course is mainly flat and takes the competitors through scenic countryside from Aberfeldy to Kenmore passing Loch Tay and via the elegant grounds of Taymouth Castle back to Aberfeldy over the iconic Wade bridge. One circuit for the half-marathon and two for the marathon.

In the half marathon Christine finished in 1 hour 41 minutes 31 seconds to place 6th female and 45th overall in a field of 211 finishers. The overall race winner was Chris Voth from Canada in 1h 12m 48s.

In the full marathon which had 71 finishers Paul finished in 37th position in 3h 56m 46s, race winner was Ian Berry-Bowers,Winchester & Dist AC in 2:55.03.
