Indoor medal for Malcolm / S.A.I.L.

SCOTTISH ATHLETICS INDOOR 3K C/SHIPS
It was a good start to the year for the Lothian club’s Malcolm Lang who was on the podium at the Scottish Athletics 3000 metres Championship at the Emirates Arena in Glasgow. Malcolm took the silver medal in the over-40 category where he finished runner up to Darran Laing, Law AC in a time of 9 minutes 29.16 seconds.

At the same venue there was some fine performances from a trio of the club’s junior members. All three recorded PB performances in their various events.
Hannah Steel and Eilidh Howard both set new figures in the 800 metres with Hannah recording 2:31.15 and Eilidh 2:57.40. Hannah also finished runner up in her heat of the 300 metres with Eilidh setting another PB with a time of 32.82 in her 200 metres.
Further PB runs came from Robyn McDonald in the 60 metres and 200 metres. In the latter she stopped the clock at 29.54 after having won her heat in the 60 metres in 8.83.
