Another Games win for Hannah
Hannah Steel continued her run of success on the Highland games circuit at a very wet and windy St Andrews Highland Games on Sunday.Hannah who was the 2017 SHGA youth female athlete of the year replicated her performances from 12 months ago at Station Park with victory in the Youth’s 800 metres handicap and 3rd in the 1600 metres handicap. A big field od 16 runners lined up for the 800 metres with Hannah coming through from her 155 metres handicap to break the tape in 2m 04.62s ahead of Anna Suttie, Anstruther and Jai Patterson, Hawick. In the 1600 metres the Lothian runner started from the backmark working her way through the field to finish in third place behind Archie Suttie, Anstruther and Mattie Fleming, Kelso. The Highland games season continues this weekend with the Inverkeithing Highland Games on Saturday and the Bridge of Allan Highland Games on Sunday.
