Paul well placed in Fife trails series

Lothian Running Club’s Paul Young sits in second place overall after the second race of three in the Balbirnie Park Trailbusters Series at Markinch in Fife.
After finishing in third place in race one Paul improved to finish in 2nd place in Sunday’s second race with a time for the 4.5 miles course of 32m 10s. Race winner was Chris Russell from the Leven Las Vegas Club who also won the first race.
The first three placings in the overall standings after the first two races are 1 Chris Russell, Leven Las Vegas 53m 31s, 2 Paul Young, Lothian RC 61m 31s, 3 Malcolm Finlayson, Stirling Tri Club 47m 35s. LRC duo Alan Weir and Mike Murray also contested Sunday’s race with Alan finishing 39th in 38m 21s and Mike 71st in 47m 25s.
The final race of the series takes place on Sunday 2nd September, again at Balbirnie Park.
