Club quartet excel in Ultra-Relay
The Lothian Club were represented in both the Individual and Relay race at the Falkirk 8 Hour Ultra Event at Callendar Park
Under foot conditions were far from ideal for the race which starts at 8am and finishes at 4pm with your finishing position determined by the distance you run during that period. Run over a 4.2 miles loop the course consists of mainly forest tracks and trails with a small part on tarmac.
The LRC quartet of Brian Lees, Alan Mackay, Jim Beattie and Barry McComish excelled in the relay to come out on top with a total distance of 69.988 miles covered. In the Individual race Stephen Todd finished in 17th place covering a distance of 45.7 miles with Calum Ross in 53rd place with a total of 39.9 miles. Linda Garratty finished 71st overal and 22nd in the female category with a total of 36.8 miles.
