6th place finish for Jo in 10 miles Championship

Lothian Running Club’s Jo Williams finished in 6th place in the 57th running of the Tom Scott Memorial 10 mile Road Race at Strathclyde Country Park on Sunday. The race which also incorporated the Scottish Athletics Championship saw Jo cross the finish line in 59 minutes 33 seconds. The title went to Kilbarchan AC’s Elspeth Curran who stopped the clock at exactly 56 minutes.

Lothian’s Sarah Inglis who set the course record of 55.34 in winning in 2018 is currently in Canada and wasn’t available to defend her title.

Paul Cackette was the only LRC member in the Men’s race finishing in  1 hour 19 minutes 50 seconds to place 236th of 637 finishers and 33rd in the M50 category. The men’s title was won by Lachlan Oates, Shettleston AC in 49.50.
