PB and a Top 10 finish for Al in Monklands HM

There was a top ten finish and a PB for Al Aitken in the Monklands Half Marathon. The Lothian runner crossed the finish line at St Ambrose High School in Coatbridge  in 9th place with his time of 84 minutes 44 seconds almost a minute and a half quicker than his previous best of 96m 10s set in the Glasgow Half Marathon in 2017.  The next LRC member to finish was Paul Young in 34th place in 95m 11s, he was closely followed by 37th Andrew Corrigan 95m 96s. Andrea Seabrook was 143rd overall and 27th female in 1h 55m 20s. Brian Morris completed the club representation finishing 221st in 2h 13m 09s. The respective male and female winners were Paul Burns, Motherwell AC 75m 55s and Fiona Mathieson, Falkirk VH 1h 24m 07s.
