PB’s & 1500m wins for Robbie & Murray at Livi Open.

Robbie Kennedy followed up his Livingston parkrun PB run at the weekend by smashing his 1500 metres PB at the Livingston Open meeting at Craigswood Stadium.  Robbie won the main 1500 metres event with his time 4m 03.27 seconds marginally quicker than his indoor PB[4:03.61] for the distance set at the Emirates in January 2018. Robbie’s time was a massive improvement on his outdoors best which was 4:18.21 set at the East Lothian Open in 2016.

Another 1500 winner was Murray Close who was the victor in race 3. His time of 4m 40.2 seconds would have placed him in third position in the higher grade 2 race . This was Murray’s first recorded P10 1500 run so he now has a target to aim for.

In the younger age groups there was some fine performances from Amber and Aimee Cunningham as well as Danny Fletcher. The latter placed 8th of 16 in the Under-11 600 metres in 2:08.90 and 5th in race 3 of the 150 metres in 27.90.
