Fine performances at Forth Valley League
There was some fine performances by Lothian Running Club junior members in the Forth Valley League match at Grangemouth Stadium on Saturday.
The league is for young athletes from under-11 to under-15 age groups both boys and girls.
The league is a springboard for young athletes to develop and progress in their athletics career. Many of Scotland’s international athletes started out competing in the league.
The Lothian athletes were particularly successful in the 800 metres races with Murray Close, Aaron Smyth and Jay McGarry all recording impressive PB’s.
Many of the younger athletes were recording times for the first time in many of the events which now gives them a target to aim at in future competitions.
