Second Belgian PB for Sarah in four days,
SECOND BELGIAN PB IN FOUR DAYS FOR SARAH
Sarah Inglis recorded her second PB in the space of four days in Belgium on Saturday evening.
Sarah contested the Women’s 5000 metres in the KBC Night of Athletics meeting in Heusden – Zolder.
In a truly international field there was 16 different nationalities in the 26 runner field.
Sarah finished in 8th place with her time of 15 minutes 25.01 seconds almost 11 seconds quicker than her previous best for the distance which was 15:35. 89 which was set indoors in Seattle back in January.
Victory in the race went to Taye Ejgayehu from Ethiopia in 14:5315.
Sarah’s time keeps her in 3rd place in the 2019 Scottish rankings for 5000 metres behind Eilish McColgan and Laura Muir.
