Scottish Half Marathon / 10k

Lothian Running Club were well represented in the Scottish Half Marathon on Sunday. The 13.1 miles route sees the runners set off from Meadowmill Sports Centre at Prestonpans, head along the scenic East Lothian Golf Coast before finishing at Scotland’s oldest racecourse at Musselburgh.

The leading LRC finisher was Al Aitken in 1 hour 23 minutes 15 seconds, he was followed home by Will Moffat and Kyle Williamson. Andrea Seabrook was the first LRC female finisher in 1h 47m 19s. Michelle Kirkbright finished in 2h 13m 58s.
The overall male and female race winners were Howell Craske, Corstorphine AC 1:08.26 and Alison Rowatt 1:18.43 who has represented Scotland in both hockey and triathlon

In the associated 10k race LRC’s Ryan Kirkland finished well up in 20th place in 36 minutes 32 seconds.
