A WEEKEND OF CATEGORY SUCCESS

Lothian Running Club members were among the category podium places at events all over the country at the weekend.

Brian Lees and Andrea Seabrook were in Fife for the Lochore 10k.
Brian finished 12th overall and the winner of the M50 category while Andrea finished 3rd F40 and 59th overall.

Another blue vested category winner was Andrew Corrigan who was leading  over-50 in the Loch Rannoch Half Marathon.  The Lothian runner also placed 10th overall.

LRC were represented in both the Aviemore 10k and Half Marathon, in the latter, Stewart Laing had a good run to place 19th overall and 2nd in the Senior Vet category. Claire Harris and Alan Weir followed in 260th and 399th respectively.
In the 10k race, Mike Murray crossed the finish line in 55 minutes 44 seconds to place 296th.

Kevin Godfrey contested the gruelling Manor Water Hill Race over a 10 mile course at Peebles. Kevin finished 60th in 2 hours 37 minutes 32 seconds.
