LRC Ladies in medal winning form at XC Masters

LOTHIAN LADIES IN MEDAL WINNING FORM AT MASTERS CHAMPIONSHIPS

The ladies from Lothian Running Club were among the medals in both the team and individual categories at the Scottish Masters Cross Country Championships at McMaster CommunityCentre in Johnstone.

In the team competition the trio of Julie Atkinson, Christine MacVarish and Andrea Cameron raced to bronze medals finishing in 3rd place behind the teams from Hunters Bog Trotters and Giffnock North AC.

Following on from her indoor gold medal the previous week Yvonne Crilley was once again back on the podium with a 3rd place finish in the F55 category.  216 runners completed the Men’s race with the Lothian team finishing in 6th place behind winners Cambuslang Harriers.
