Friday Training – 17th July
Friday Night Training at the track, meet in the pavilion for 6:5opm. Session starts at 7:00pm and finishes between 8:00pm and 8:30pm
Planned Sessions are:
All Sessions can be modified to suit fitness and ability.
All sessions preceded by full warm-up and followed by cool down. Athletes to avoid inside lanes during recovery and to be aware of other sessions and users of the track
Main Session: Interval Pickups
Coaches: Christine, Saran, Alan
Strides 8 x 20 sec run – 20s off
4 x 800m (Run 600m at 10k pace then speed up to sub 5k pace for final 200m) – start every 8 mins with jog recoveries between)
5 min rest
4 x 400m (Run 300m at 5k pace then speed up to sub mile for final 100m) – start every 4 mins with jog recoveries between)
Juniors
Join in main from start or half way through, with field training depending on weather
