Corstorphine/Jack Crawford/Cupar

Following on from his win in the Resolution Run 10k in Edinburgh the previous week, Ryan Kirkland turned in another fine performance to finish second under-20 in the Jack Crawford Springburn Cup 10k at Bishopbriggs. Ryan who placed 15th overall crossed the finish line in 36 minutes 05 seconds. Euan Rennie was the leading LRC member in 10th place in 34m 51s with veteran Kenny Mearns 77th of the 132 finishers in 46.46. Race winner was Stuart Livingstone,Corstorphine AAC in 34m 51s.

The Lothian club was also represented in the inaugural Corstorphine Hill Trail Races. In the 10k, Al Murray finished 37th in 49m 36s with Jonathan Collings the runner up in the Junior 5k event in 25m 46.

A trio of runners made their way to Fife for the annual Cupar ‘5” race. On an out and back 5 miles course from Duffus Park the first of the blue vests home was Will Moffat in 35th place in 31m 21s, he was closely followed by Alan Cunningham in 31m 25s with Jim Salvage 180th of the 219 finishers in 44m 16s.The race was won by the Fife AC’s Lewis Rodgers in 26m 16s.
