Munchen 10.10.10

Can’t speak too highly of the Munich Marathon on Sunday last. The route leads through all the tourist highspots, largely flat, the start music (Wagner’s Ride of the Valkyries), a welcome change from We Will Rock You, cloudless skies and a high of 16deg. Loaded up a slew of mid period Bowie on the ipod to set the day off with a swing. And, when you’re running out of steam, (about 41.7K), you tip down the ramp and into the Olympic Stadium. Lap of honour and the photo opp of a lifetime. Skipped around, arms aloft. What? Oh, yeah. 4:47:51. Should’ve trained harder. Next time……
