SARAH TO REPRESENT GB & IRELAND AT WORLD XC CHAMPIONSHIP

Following on from her excellent run in Sunday’s trials in Birmingham Sarah Inglis was today [Tuesday 16th March] named as one of only five Scots in the Great Britain & Ireland team of 21 athletes for the forthcoming World Cross Country Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland on Sunday 28th March.

Sarah along with fellow Scot Beth Potter, Victoria Park City of Glasgow AC will be part of the six strong Junior Womens team which also includes Kate Avery-Shildon,Emelia Gorecka-Aldershot Farnham District, Annabel Gummow -Bristol & West and Hannah Walker-Dacorum & Tring. The junior athletes will also attend a preparation camp at Loughborough University prior to competition.

To represent Great Britain in any sport is a great achievment,and a GB vest is the pinnacle of an athlete’s attainment, and for Sarah, her selection is just reward for all the hard work, commitment and dedication she puts in to her athletics under the guidance of her equally dedicated coach Steve Cottom.

It is also a great honour for Lothian Running Club.
