TRIPLETS BID FAREWELL TO JUNIOR LEAGUE

Lothian Running Club triplets Robert, Sarah and Mhairi Inglis made their farewell appearances in the National Junior League on Sunday at Scotstoun Stadium in Glasgow.

The 18 year olds who first represented the composite Forth Valley team back in 2006 will be too old for next years competition which is for under-20 athletes from all over Gt Britain.

Sarah bowed out on a winning note with victory in the Women’s 3000 metres A string race while Mhairi placed 6th in the Women’s 400 metres A and Robert 5th in the Men’s 1500 metres B event.

Amanda Campbell, Livingstone AC gained full points with victory in the Women’s 800 metres A race,

Mens 800 metres [A] 3rd Craig McDowell 2:00.52.

Mens 800 metres [B] 6th Max McNeil 2:16.76.

Mens 1500 metres [B] 5th Robert Inglis 4:17.63.

Men’s 2000 metres Steeplechase [A] 7th Robert Inglis 6:50.13.

[B] 5th Max McNeil 7:21,14.
Women’s 3000 metres [A] 1st Sarah Inglis 10:22.15.

Women’s 400 metres [A] 6th Mhairi Inglis 1:01.90.

Women’s 1500 metres Steeplechase [A] 3rd Lana Tunbull 5:36.86.

[B] Amanda Campbell 1st 5:46.01.

Team Forth Valley finished 5th overall of the eight teams on the day.
