Two Breweries

Updated: 2010-09-26
Last year we sent Scott Fraser, who won it ‘without really racing’. This year it was down to me to fly the Lothian flag. Sadly I was unable to repeat Scotts acheivement, getting round the 19 miles and 5085 feet of ascent in 4:15:24 (almost an hour and a half slower than Scott). Still it was good fun, with some comedy moments (me and four Northumberland fell runners trying to decide which of three hills was Trehenna and me getting cramp while trying to negotiate a barbed wire fence – not that I want more kids anyway). It was a stunning day for it too and overall I was pleased with it, finishing only a minute slower and in much better shape than the Ochils four weeks ago. I think I earned my beer.

I’ll see you all tomorrow at the Linlithgow 10K where I will be playing a suprise mystery role…
