Beecraigs on Sunday

Hello everyone at Lothian.  Hope you are well – I know three of you are as you were at Turnhouse yesterday to humiliate me!

Anyway I’m really sorry but I am going to have to cancel the coached session at Beecraigs this Sunday.  This is due to a rare visit from my Brother who is over from the US for the first time in about 5 years.  I did see him briefly last weekend and he was supposed to come up here originally but he now can’t so I am travelling down.  I’m still OK for Friday, though, so I’ll see you at Craigswood tomorrow.

Next month I have a son who is desperate to do the Menstrie Fun Run on Sunday 28th (it’s at 11:30).  To be honest I think all the juniors should be making the effort to go – some of you might even find yourselves eligible to run for Scotland in the junior home internationals.  However I’m happy to take the Beecraigs session at the earlier time of 9am.  Cross country season is getting closer so it is useful training.

Finally I just wanted to update you on the cancellation of the Linlithgow 10K.  A difficult decision was taken to cancel as the council had failed to issue a permit for the race within the timescales necessary to start taking entries.  There were also additional fees for road closures which would have meant that the event would have run at a loss.  If the event does run in future it will be under a new committee.

Enjoy your running,

Matt
