CLUB SET TO BE REPRESENTED AT MASTERS XC

The National Masters Cross Country event takes place at Kilmarnock on Saturday afternoon.

And almost 400 veterans have signed up for the races at St Joseph’s Academy in the Ayrshire town.

8 club members have forwarded entries, in the combined Women[Over-40] and Men[Over-65] race Jill Horsburgh and Ian Leggett are down to run. This race is over 6000 metres and begins at 1.30pm.

In the Men [over-40 and up to 60] half a dozen from the club are scheduled to be in action, namely Kenny Mearns, Graeme Ackland, Scott Nelson, Richard Docherty, Stephen Malcolm and Jim Alexander. This race starts at 2.15pm and is over 8000 metres.
