Hoka silver for Shona
LRC ultra running duo Shona Young and Alan Robertson were among a record 647 finishers in the annual Hoka Highland Fling 53 mile Ultra Trail race from Milngavie to Tyndrum.
This year the race incorporated the Scottish Athletics Ultra Trail Championship in which Shona claimed a silver medal in the female vets category behind Louise Burt, Fife AC. crossing the finish line in 10 hours 34 minutes 24 seconds which also placed her 180th overall.
Alan finished 378th overall and 5th MV60 in 12 hours 07 minutes 16 seconds.
