Please help at Livingston parkrun and East XC
- Lothian Running Club is hosting the East District XC Championships on 12th December at Dechmont. We are responsible for setting out the course and marshaling the turn points. There are ten points on the course that need to be manned from 11:00 to 15:00. The first race starts at 11:30 and the slowest Seniors should be finished by 15:00!!
- The proposed parkrun in Livingston is almost a reality. To enable the weekly parkrun to get the go ahead the run needs to have sufficient volunteers in place to marshal the course and time the finish. Volunteers need to be available from 9 – 10:30 on a Saturday morning. If the run has sufficient volunteers in place then the test run will be on 2nd January with the first official run on the 9th. I am acting as Event Director but I would also like to recruit some Run Director(s) who can look after the ‘on the morning organisation’ on a rota basis.
