Festive Handicap – Age rule
I was contacted about minimum age for entrants to the Festive Handicap 7km. I checked the rule book and for clarification, UKA and Scottish Athletics rules say the longest distance U16 can do in a trail race is 6000m. As the Festive Handicap is a permit race, we have to abide by that rule. We don’t actually ask for entrants’ ages, but if an entrant appears to be U16 we’ll ask them to do the Cockleroy Chaser instead. Sorry if that causes any disappointment.
