Another Highland Games win for Hannah

Hannah Steel had a successful day at the Blairgowrie Highland Games on Sunday, with a 1st, 2nd and a 5th place. Her win came in the Youth’s 800 metres handicap, starting from the backmark of 145 metres Hannah worked her way through the field before breaking the tape in 2 minutes 1 second to retain the title she won last year. In the Youth’s 1600 metres handicap the Lothian runner had to settle for second place behind winner Steven Bates,Tullibody. Hannah also qualified for the final of the Youth’s 200 metres handicap where she finished in 5th place behind winner Emma Currie,Selkirk. The curtain comes down on the Highland Games circuit this Saturday at Pitlochry.

EAST LOTHIAN OGM

It was a busy weekend for Hannah, as the day before Blairgowrie she ran in one of the 800 metres races in the East Lothian Open Graded meeting at Meadowmill, Prestonpans where she finished in 4th place in 2m 27.95s. Yvonne Crilley W55 also ran in the Mixed 800 Metre, leading home her heat in 2m 34.69s.
