National Short Course XC Championship

The  club were well represented in the Lindsay’s Short Course Cross Country Championship at Lanark Racecourse with 20 runners in action in four different races. The Senior Men’s race saw Malcolm Lang lead home 12 blue vests and with the first four finishers from each club counting towards team points LRC finished a creditable 22nd out of a total of 42 teams. Jo Williams in 8th place led home the Lothian ladies who finished in 11th place out of 19 teams. Hannah Steel had a good run in the Girls Under-15 race finishing 21st out of 91 finishers while in the Under-17 Boys event Ryan Kirkland and Louis McDonald finished in 46th and 61st place respectively out of the 85 who completed.
The overall individual champions were Sol Sweeney, Glasgow University and Jemma Reekie,Kilbarchan.
