Kyle races to under-20 title at Cumbernauld

CUMBERNAULD 10K

Lothian Running Club’s Kyle Williamson was the leading Under-20 in Sunday’s Cumbernauld 10k based at Broadwood Stadium.

The Lothian club were well represented in the race which had just over 1100 finishers. Kyle who finished 35th overall was the 3rd of the LRC runners to complete the course behind Al Aitken who finished 18th and 5th M40 and Ross Williamson who came home in 25th place.

The leading Lothian lady was Andrea Seabrook who finished 37th in the Women’s category. Following Andrea home in 75th and 77th respectively was  Jenny O’Donnell and Judith Thomson.

The overall male and female race winners were, Jonathan Roebuck, Inverclyde AC 32.30 and Ktistin Lownie, PH Racing Club 38.12..

Club juniors Gaby O’Donnell and Amber Cunningham excelled in the associated 1k race for pupils in Primary 5 – 7. Gaby finished 1st girl and 2nd overall with Amber 2nd girl and 3rd overall.
